"Does the job really! If you need a quick night's stay before getting the ferry or tunnel then it's ideal, however be aware that some rooms have no windows and the place is a *little* rundown. Main receptionist was really nice and very helpful - I would stay again but only for short stays."
"John, the host, was very welcoming and gave us detailed information about Dover and recommended various places to eat. It was a perfect location, close to Dover Castle, the White Cliffs, and the city center. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable."
"A very old house renovated to be a guest house. On the corner next to White Horse Pub and just down the hill from Dover Castle. Location is great. Narrow stairs to each room. Well-cared for property. We were treated very well. "
"One of the top two places I stay at around the whole of the south east of England truly fantastic comfortable amazing food so friendly and welcoming all the time"
"I had booked and paid through Hotels.com. But that was not accepted at check-in, and I had to pay once more. I have reached out to both the hotel and hotels.com, but neither will refund the double payment"
"Amazing local feel with local owner/operators. Extremely clean and stunning veiws of Dover. Great homade breakfast and super helpful with information about the area. Best place to stay without exception!"

The iconic White Cliffs tower dramatically above Dover Castle, where underground tunnels reveal WWII operations and medieval history. Explore the Roman Painted House remains, then catch a ferry to France or hike along the stunning coastal paths with views across the English Channel.
We were so lucky with the weather so we did the White Cliffs walk which is a must with some stunning views.

Dover Castle, Dover Marina and White Cliffs of Dover are must see places, but the High Street or Town Centre must need more inputs to make it more attractive to tourists!

Ports are never going to be the most beautiful places, but Dover has a history and rugged charm that are well worth exploring.

We go to Dover a lot as we have friends who live there and it's really nice and they are doing a lot to regenerate the place.
