"This hotel was like an oasis in the middle of a very sketchy area. I was sad my trip was delayed so I arrived at 10pm and had to leave at 2 am, and wished I had longer to enjoy this hotel. But even arriving so late the receptionist was prompt in answering the door and pleasant to make sure I had everything I needed. The water was hot and the bed was comfortable. "

"First time at this hotel in La Paz, we were pleasantly surprised by size of our apartment (#601), its decorations, comfort and the stunning views. Our apartment had 3 rooms, 2 of them with queen size beeds and one Jacuzzi, 2 full bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, dinning room and living room. Flat TVs in every room. Breakfast is not the best but will do. You are plenty of dinning options within walking distance but thew streets to these locations are very steep, be prepared and warned: easy...

"Walking in I was surprised it was not slicker and could use a more recent renovation, (it was originally the Panama Embassy, years ago.) But we grew to be very fond of this hotel and will continue to go back. It has enormous rooms with enormous windows. It is now surrounded by skyscrapers but is a smaller mansion. "We needed a room just for 1 day since we planned to leave for Uyuni the night we landed. This hotel allows early check in. The staff was friendly. But you only get free breakfast the day you check-out not the day we checked in. We requested for breakfast but they denied it. The room was okay, the bedsheets were old and not very clean. The location was close to downtown so taxis were easily available. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 1 night."
