"The staff was nice and the pool was awesome, but the property is run down and it feels like they just threw a coat of paint in it rather than doing necessary updates. The bathroom had a broken light switch and the toilet was wonky. The water pressure was super hard and the drain couldn’t keep up so you had to stand in your dirty water when taking a shower. The bathroom also smelled like musty mildew. The breakfast was also really sad. The juice machine was broken and the hot water for oatmeal...

"If you are looking to not perhaps pay as much for The Lodge, this absolutely should be on your radar. The team, rooms, location, breakfast, all the things hit the mark. While I think the remotes likely need to be replaced (as we got the batteries replaced on day 2), due to many thumbs aggressively finding the right channel, that’s still not dropping the 5 STAR rating. We will be back and also for the location, both for walkable options and also a nice river walk, can’t go wrong."

"Thank you to the manager and front desk staff for helping us with our booking. There was a glitch in the system and our booking with Expedia did not register with the hotel’s booking platform. The hotel was fully booked and did not have a similar room like we booked available. The manager graciously accommodated us and helped us immediately and even provided an upgrade. We were also pleasantly surprised that the location was very nice by the river and we could take evening and morning walks...

"Booked 3 single queen rooms. Each room had its issues. Parking isn't great. Lots of long term residents that are too comfortable in their stay. Bed was horrible, needs replaced or even a topper to avoid feeling every spring. The shower had no pressure or hot water. Pool is nice and coffee fresh. Good A/C. Good blackout curtains. Fairly clean since no carpet Friendly staff. Location is ideal."
