We have all seen Bill Murray in Groundhog Day but the ceremony of Phil's prognostication does not actually take place in town like the movie suggests but two miles east of town at the unusually named Gobblers Knob. The property is being rebuilt as a very nice motel. The room was fantastic. I felt safe sleeping there. I wish the outside had more lighting to make it easier to find from the street

Staff is always friendly, and even had our heat on in the room when we arrived. Rooms are clean and a fair price. Plus they take pets. (Going through a remodel, but not intrusive)

Its a old run down place, in the process of a remodel. Front desk friendly. Room clean. Bed comfy. Hot shower. All we need!

I was leery reading other reviews but it was fine. Older property but clean. Comfortable nights sleep. Desk clerk was very friendly. The signage is not good so we had to double back. Very good price.

The room was nice and clean slept well had a new TV in it but the grounds around the area were not kept up at all. Possibly the motel went through hard times during covid it's a very big motel so I don't know if they couldn't get the help but the pool isn't usable and the none of the grounds are kept up

Avoid this place if possible

Memorial weekend everything was either sold out or way more expensive so I wound up here. The property is in very bad shape, it looks like a war zone inside and out. Check in lady was mean, nasty, rude & quick to temper. If you pay for your room by card, there is a 4% fee added on. I mentioned they should disclose that fee online so people could bring enough cash with them to pay for the room, I only had $40 on me. She yelled at me and got aggressive. Hallways smell bad, ceiling tiles missing overhead exposing open attic space (very creepy), carpet wrinkled and water damaged. Room was VERY unclean, bathroom was disgusting, the tub water ran all night & wouldn't turn off. I would have left if I could have found somewhere else to go, but it was late, and limited by a drive clock. The worst part was the door was open to my room so I had to pull my gun and search it before going in. It also had 2 other doors, one to the outside, and one to the joining room. Very scary place. The only good thing was the bed was comfortable.

Good stay for last minute.

The price was good for a last minute stay due to bad weather. Although the place looked like it was renovating the place was perfect for price and close to highway and gas stations.
