"Lovely place really with old well-preserved rooms, great breakfast and dinner and an amazing whisky bar. The service was excellent too.
If you arrive during the snowy season, make sure to ask for a heater or extra blankets as the rooms on the bottom floor gets very cold. "

"One night stay for an event in town. Super friendly welcome, clean and cosy room, great value. We were on the top floor with lovely views. Our room was quite hot, even after opening a window, but this might be as the weather warmed up. Highly recommend."

"We stayed three nights at the Hotel Square in Tomintoul. Although this is an older facility which could use a few updates to rugs, curtains, etc., we were very happy there. The hotel is clean, beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large and supplied with everything we needed. Breakfast was very good! Most importantly, the staff was friendly and helpful, providing great service. We had a lovely stay!"
