"We had a very good experience at the Homewood Suites property in Pittsburgh. The property is in the Strip District, which offers a lot in the way of restaurants and shopping. We usually walk to most activities. We normally stay closer to Market Square. This hotel was a little further from the places we normally go, so be aware of the location. However, we would definitely stay there again. The staff went over and above in all of our interactions with them. This is an excellent choice when...

"Very funky hotel layout - it's only 2 floors but they're on the 5th and 6th floors and the elevator can be slow. The rooms are spacious and the in-room exercise equipment was kind of nice. But the lobby, restaurant, and other public spaces have no (or severely underpowered?) air conditioning which made it miserable on a hot summer day."

"The USB ports in our room did not work. Air conditioner was very loud and banged several times during the nite, waking us up. Valet parking was not available as advertised. Parking ramp did not give us a ticket when we parked, so we were charged the maximum amount of $50 for 9 hours of parking. We were also charged $50 when we checked into the hotel for "incidentals" which we were told would be reversed. However, as of this morning, the charge is still showing on my credit card. Not very...

"The room was super clean and well maintained, only real issue for me was the window was located where you could only see a wall on the other side which was a bit disappointing. Overall however, the Joinery was very beautiful and I will likely stay here again."

"The hallways smelled of food. Nobody emptied the trash in my room inspite leaving a sign. There was no hot water in shower for 2 out of my 3 day stay at the hotel."
