What a lovely place to stay. Very friendly staff, everywhere clean. Food was excellent and lots of it, breakfast was great. Plenty of car parking. Short drive into Durham, couldn’t fault it

Excellent value for money and convenient location for exploring the area. The staff were always pleasant, polite and helpful. Breakfast had something for everyone (full English, eggs benedict, cereal and pastries baked to order) and was good quality, the dinner menu was a fairly typical pub menu but the quality was good and portions huge. I want to return just to try the chips again - I haven't had such delicious chips in years!

Great little find. Really lovely stay and the staff were so helpful and friendly which was lovely. The property is well maintained and very clean, We had a double room with a comfortable, king sized bed and a modern bathroom with an great shower. The food was tasty, well proportioned and we ate in the restaurant for all three nights of our stay. Breakfast was good and lots of choice too. We would highly recommend The Old Mill.

Everybody at the property was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was excellent great choice. And you would be Renz not to eat in the restaurant there. It is very popular with many of the locals and there is a reason for that. The food is excellent. There are great portions and it is nice just to sit in a cozy English pub to eat.

Staff are always lovely and food is amazing! I stay here for work as often as possible. Rooms are basic but very clean and pleasant and reasonably priced. Only negative is that the bar closes at 9pm and there are no shops locally that ive found in walking distance which is not the fault of the hotel but a little inconvenient if you forget something or want a cold drink before bed
