"Well, on the good side, the A/C was effective.
However, while this was not the worst mid priced hotel/motel I ever stayed in (that honor belongs to a couple in Tirapur, India), it is not one I wil revisit when I return to Roswell (which I do every few months).
First of all, and most annoying, was that when I checked in there was a sign that the televisions were not working. The clerk at the desk said it was the cable company...
However, other things about the room made me wonder. One of the two light bulbs in the night stand lamp was missing. There was an ice bucket but no cups or glasses (which I had not realized until I was about to get into bed). There was a hair dryer, but the wall mount was more than a little precarious as it was hanging by only one of the screws which was mostly already pulled from the wall. A couple of wall plates that should be covering electrical outlets were missing - notably the 220 volt outlet for that wall mounted AC unit (hopefully nobody with a kid stays in the room I had). The shower was okay, though the pull-up diverter did not divert all the water to the head. The toilet was the lowest I have seen - about 14" off the floor - almost like squatting over a hole in the floor. All of which to say I wonder if these were all "money saving" tactics - which further made me wonder if the "problem" with the cable company was that they were not paid or something."
