"When we travel we always seek historic places to stay. This is not our first experience here, but it is our first time in the carriage house.
The good: A convenient bathroom so no trips down the hall during the night (I'm old).
The place is nice, quiet, great bed and good showers and everything one might need to camp here, though we ran out of coffee. The view of the historic homes was delightful, and we enjoyed the fact that the Weith-Tootle home is illuminated at night.
The facility is nice and we got to support the preservation of an historic home.
The less than good: Internet is very bad, maybe even rotten. We could not view the TV much at all and the internet gave VERY S L O W response when it responded at all. Calls about this weren't addressed.
Less than great part two: For those considering the carriage house note this isn't a bed and breakfast as you might have experienced in you past stays at historic places. Some breakfast bars, water and grape drink, some syrup and some butter in the freezer. Not what we expected but again we got to support St Joseph history. We had left overs from our diners and the microwave solved our breakfast demands.
I wash the dishes at home so no problem there. Ah yes, the coffee. We are addicts but just two good cups apiece in the AM. Our stay was four days and we had one container with very little and a second can with next to nothing, but we travel with our own so no real problem. The nice creamer though was a plus!
