Despite an online prepaid reservation the apparent "manager" of this property turned us away with an assertion that he was the "new owner" and that he did not have a "contract" with the online services. He offered no further explanation and didn't seem to concerned that we had nowhere else to go since Hurricane Michael had limited other options.

It was quiet. However: Manager was not friendly nor was he customer focused. No phone in the room. No hairdryer. Only 1 bar of soap. Couldn't get any WiFi to work. No coffee for the coffee pot. No housekeeping on the second day. Chain on door was broken, so useless. Shelf in door of the small frig was held together with some wire. Couldn't get the clock/alarm to work. TV was Dish but couldn't get any signal. Sign said no dogs, but we saw two rooms who had dogs. Glad I had my own shampoo, cream rinse, and moisturizer.

The one staff was pretty nice and tried to help with any issues, but the rooms had a very strong odor :(

It’s a very nice old style motel right next to the Ebro Greyhound Park, it doesn’t have all the nonsense fo-fo stuff of the chain hotels offer, but guess what? They don’t change you for that junk nobody really uses, it’s basic, clean and the staff is wonderful.

First thing I noticed were sign warning not to leave items in car, not a great area. The only reason we stayed here was to go to the dog track and didn't want to drive far afterwards. Think I'll drive to a better and safe place next time. It was ok and didn't have a problem.

OK

No breakfast or soft drink vending machine. I couldn't get the cable to work. Didn't call front desk because it was around 11pm. No wifi, either. Check in was very quick and easy

Noisy HVAC, comfortable room and bed.

Right price, right place. Room (rm 105) and bed were comfortable, HVAC system was noisy every time it turned on but kept the room comfortable.

Not happy at all

Roach Motel!!!! Mulitple roaches to the point that we didnt stay the night. DISGUSTING. Bath tub not clean, had someone's hair in the tub from a previous guest. Gross!! Room was somewhat clean otherwise. Chipped furniture. Paint on ceilings from where they painted walls. Carpet loose. Not tacked properly so had bumps in carpet, which you could trip over and NOT safe.Just not professionally done. Staff was very kind. No complaints there. Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all. Didn't take photos for fear of roaches getting in our bags we left in a hurry!!

smelly room

Our room was suppose to be smoking free yet it smelled like an old cigarette butt. The towels were really cheap and rough. There was a stain on one of the pillow cases. On the good side the location was really quiet, the beds were reasonably comfortable and the staff was really accommodating to our late arrival time.
