"It's lovely if you're into historic properties; definitely is early 20th century decor, which we very much liked. The rooms are spacious. The breakfast was superb."

"The hotel is very close to all the historical sites in Springfield. The room was small and needed updating, but the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful in making dining recommendations. The parking garage had very low ceilings, so it was a bit concerning if our car luggage top would hit the ceiling. We stayed for one night, so it was very manageable. Hopefully, they will consider remodeling because it is a great location."

"Hot!! Hot!! Hot!! Did I mention how hot the bedroom was? The AC barely put out any cold air. The room was uncomfortably hot. I did not get any sleep, which defeated the purpose for booking a room. It was disappointing. I can't see recommending, or booking, this hotel in the future."

"When I went there, they couldn’t find my reservation, but I provided the information for them and so for that trouble, they upgraded me to a king size bed for my queen, which I did appreciate at no extra charge. The room was clean and you can’t ask more than that. Nowadays, most of the motel 6 exteriors need a lot of work this was no different. "Lots of Route 66 artifacts and museum pieces. Great to walk through, but not to stay the night. Room was primitive with mis matched furniture and mattresses on a board. Bathroom door would not shut and counter was unfinished. Guests rented this hotel for their permanent home and it felt unsafe. Guests were yelling at each other. Do not stay here."

"We booked and paid for our room 3 weeks prior to our trip and when we arrived we were told that they were full and it's "first come, first served" and that they didn't have a room for us even though I had booked and paid way in advance."
