"Picked for location, excellent walking distance to everything including the citadel and harbour. Regular water in the rooms for drinking would be a good addition - or a note regarding whether you can drink the tap water. Overall , beauty spot"
Salmon River Country Inn

"The Salmon River Country Inn is located on the water, just off the road (road noise was not an issue at all), and has its own restaurant on site where you have breakfast and can get dinner. Indeed, we had dinner overlooking the bay at sunset, watching a sea otter hunt: very picturesque. Staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is typical continental with a German leaning (the dinner menu is seafood and German). The only real downside is the rooms are on the small side, but you can sit downstairs to work and such. Overall it was a nice place to stay a couple nights exploring the coast."

"I would have given this hotel 5 stars with the exception of the dining staff not being particularly attentive otherwise 5 stars all the way. We loved the Nespresso Coffee in the room. So nice not to have to dress and find coffee in the morning. Also the hotel has a lovely outdoor veranda where you can dine or just relax with a class of wine."

"The property was very close by the venue that we wanted to take in. Lots of options where it came to food and drinks on the property. We had our Parking included in the stay. And the staff were very helpful and friendly."

"The room was beautifully decorated with a beach and ocean theme, and the fine details were clearly considered including a very well equipped kitchenette, soft robes and so much more. The view of the beach and ocean from the room and its location literally right out your door was the experience we were looking for; and the hike to the peak overlooking the ocean was a great perk. Jane is a wonderful, friendly, attentive host, and gave us all the privacy we like. The exterior of the property building needs some TLC and updating, and the indoor hottub was not in a setting we would choose personally. Otherwise it was a really beautiful experience!"
