"Positives: - smooth airport transfer, arranged via chat beforehand - friendly front desk staff - safe residential neighborhood, somewhat walkable for Nicaraguan standards, with a shopping center 5min away on foot Negatives: - the room felt extremely damp and had a musty smell, probably due to the shower that was not separated from the sleeping area (the shower / bathtub was directly in the room) - the hotel is showing wear and tear, a deep clean would have helped but ideally it needs to be refurbished - so many mosquitoes, needs regular fumigation - no windows in the room, poor air circulation and very dark - tiny toilet, felt very claustrophobic I have to be honest, I decided to stay at another hotel after viewing the room. 5 minutes in the room gave me uncountable mosquito bites. I myself come from a tropical country and I do understand that insects are somewhat unavoidable in outdoor areas, but the amount of mosquites in the indoor areas are unacceptable. It’s a sign that the hotel is not regularly fumigated. The room had a distinctive musty smell and it felt very uncomfortable. The driver picked us up and brought us to the hotel, but that was basically it. Zero hospitality, barely brought us to the car, did not offer to help us with our bags. I’ve had a better experience with your average taxi driver. "

"Food exceeded my expectations by a lot!!! Breakfast was great!!! And the menu for lunch and dinner a la carte was very very very good!!! If I lived in Managua, I would consider going to eat there. Service was also GREAT!!!! Staff pitching in to help during “peak” moments, since I think we had the entire hotel dedicated to the athletes."
