"Excellent service. Breakfast was very healthy and delicious, the front desk girls were very nice and helpful, specially Eyleen. All the staff was very nice and friendly. The location is great, the hotel is beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous and were surrounded by nature. Very peaceful and away from the city noise, but not far from city center where you can party, visit all shopping areas, restaurants, the city amenities and the marina to catch the boats to other islands. This hotel surpassed our expectations. Highly recommended! "

The jungle sounds so lovely and you feel like you’re right there, but also protected. Great Pool, everything awesome especially the yoga studioFood and ambiance on their beach bar best we could find. "Our stay at Playa Tortuga was unfortunately very disappointing. From the moment we checked in, it was clear that the property is poorly maintained. The overall cleanliness of the place was lacking, especially in the rooms and bathrooms. The bathroom was in unacceptable condition—there was no shower head, visible stains on the walls and fixtures, and we even encountered roaches, which was extremely unpleasant and concerning. The room itself did not feel clean or well cared for, which made the stay uncomfortable. Basic maintenance and hygiene standards were clearly not met. For a hotel that markets itself as a relaxing place to stay, this was far from the experience we expected. The food was average at best. While it was edible, it did not stand out in terms of quality or variety. To make matters worse, on the day of checkout, we went for breakfast at 7:30 AM and were told that breakfast was not available, even though the hotel states that breakfast starts at 7:00 AM. It appeared that service only begins once more guests arrive, which is very inconvenient for travelers with early plans. Overall, this stay was a letdown due to poor cleanliness, lack of proper maintenance, and inconsistent service. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Playa Tortuga to anyone, and we would not consider staying here again."

"Staff were so friendly and kind. They were simply amazing. The food was really top notch. The fried shrimp was excellent on the appetizer menu. Everything was well seasoned and fresh. The rooms were spotless. The windows are screened but no glass, so you can hear the birds, monkeys and the ocean. Modern conveniences in a super relaxed environment. The grounds are immaculate, they take great care of the flora and there are many hummingbirds and butterflies. The beach is beautiful, but the waves were too rough for swimming this time of year. Try the Chinese food next door at the Playa, Stephanie and her staff were also excellent. The only downside was that we could not stay longer. "
