"Location, location, location. We had a few hiccups when we checked in but the manager took care of it. Its an old place but its kept up fairly well. They provide free waters and soda and a different pitcher of infused water each day. Delicious! Breakfast is include. Pretty basic but all you really need. Would definitely stay again."

"The hotel was beautiful and the location was fantastic. However, half the building is under construction and it begins at 7 AM on weekdays (equipment and supplies will start to be delivered earlier then that as well). we wanted the ocean view so we were at the front of the building so it was constantly loud. Of the 4 nights we stayed, 3 nights had weddings on the roof that went till 10, but that didn't stop the wedding party from continuing. If you're looking for something more relaxing this probably isn't the place but if you want to be right on the water and walkable to everything in La Jolla this is perfect!"

"The front desk staff was very accommodating from check in to storing my bags. They are quite militant and strict about checking out right on time. The food servers use the same stairway as the guests so be sure to peak around the corners for plates of appetizers or entrees coming up the stairs. The location was perfect for the event that I was attending as well as the proximity to the beach, park, shops and restaurants."
