"I recently stayed at the Hilton and while the resort itself was beautiful and the amenities were great, my overall experience was disappointing due to issues with my room and service.
Upon arrival, I noticed that the shower was clogged and the balcony door did not lock, which was a major safety concern. I reported both issues within 45 minutes of checking in, but no engineer came to address them. I had to repeatedly follow up and remind staff that the problems had not been fixed. Because the balcony door was unsecured, I did not feel comfortable leaving my room or fully enjoying my planned activities, as I had valuables inside and did not feel safe. They were friendly over the phone and text but it took forever to get anything fix as I should have been given a room like this.
The issues were not resolved until the third morning of my stay, which left us with only one day to truly relax and enjoy the resort.
We did spend time at the pool, which was nice, but everything was quite expensive, which I expected. However, I was disappointed that gratuity was automatically added to every order, whether it was a single drink at the bar or a small appetizer poolside. The gratuity amounts were quite high, and it seemed to impact the level of service, as the staff were not particularly friendly. The young lady kept telling me she's off in 10 minutes and that I need to hurry to order.
Overall, the property itself is nice, but the lack of timely maintenance and the service experience"
