"The Sapphire is a fun place to stay. The property is well maintained. The decor is so mid-20th-century cool that I expected Eisenhower to be president when the news lit the generous flatscreen TV. Only the TV betrays the perception that staying here is a leap into the past, because the mini-fridge and microwave are concealed in a cabinet. The bathroom / closet area is also retro designed while providing modern conveniences. I especially liked the cast iron bathtub, black and white penny tile, and Mamie pink walls. My only problem during the stay was that the clerk failed to inform me that the HVAC system was in the midst of an important transition. Although I followed the framed direction explicitly, my room never warmed above the 61° it was at arrival. After 2 chilly hours, I called the front desk to learn that the system change hadn't been documented in all the rooms yet, and receive correct verbal instructions. (Only the Daikin system is functional) Overall, it was a comfortable experience. I'll be back!"
