"We were made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent, local suppliers clearly listed. Extensive wine list.
Outside area for drinks and dinner is attractive.
Very friendly staff

"We had a lovely double room at the front of the hotel that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had a very good shower. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows provided if we needed them. Our evening meal was delicious and excellently cooked. Breakfast was also really good in fact one of the best breakfasts i have had in a hotel for a long time. I had the Greek yoghurt with granola and fruit and honey which had lots of lovely fresh fruit in and my partner...

Aylsham is a gorgeous place to visit and the unique ships, range of restaurants and warm welcome from the people who live and work there have left a really positive and heart warming impression on me. "The hotel had a bit of character and was well located for access to the coast and nearby sights. Our room was large and comfortable with a table and chairs, plenty of storage space. The grounds were a good size, well maintained and great for sitting outside. Dinner was very good in a conservatory dining room. Staff were unfailingly friendly and helpful, happy to chat and offer advice on places to visit and things to do. A very enjoyable short stay "

"The room, facilities were fantastic. The little touches, Norfolk Natural Living….. bubble bath, shower gel and shampoo with conditioner, added to the quality of our stay! Bread source breakfast was delicious! Home made bread source biscuits with their amazing coffee in the room was lovely to have on arrival and again first thing in the morning. Highly recommend, everything was as advertised. "

The food was excellent, but not always consistent - I had sea bass on one day which was so delicious (and as described in the menu) that I decided to have it again on my last night, but it was no where near as good - missing the chives in the mash, the dill sauce on the fish and not served with peas all as described in the menu....

"Stayed in room 17 of the Lawns annexe, a few minutes walk from the hotel. Room was large, quiet with superking bed and nice walkin shower. Parking on site. Breakfast was good and all staff friendly and helpful. Fresh milk for tea always a nice touch
