"The property was a perfect location for our train ride at Embasy and easy to get to. The breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was very good but Monday was a let down as the buffet style items seem to have run out of hot food at times.
We were located in the annexe behind main hotel. Unfortunately these rooms are at the ‘end of the water chain’ both hot and cold ! We couldn’t have a shower etc from 7-30 until about 9 am as nothing came out of the taps. This is a big let down to an otherwise a pleasant hotel.
Note…..
If the annex is used for anyone with wheelchair etc it will need a pathway concreted from the back door access direct to carpark. At moment it is partially grassed and so wheelchairs sink into it. The front has 2-3 step down but would be better with a small ramp."
"Hollins Hall has been a great and grand hotel in the past I think. Does it need a revamp? Absolutely! That said, the bed was comfy. It caters for the golfing fraternity mostly it seems. Where Hollins Hall isn't as grand as the name might imply, we do stay there often as it's close to family we visit. In the broad scheme of things it's fine if you need a comfy bed for the night and it's very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was clean ( we had an accessible room - the toilet was too low with someone with mobility issues) the shower was fab and the bar on 2nd floor was nice and serves food until 9.30pm. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food quality."
"Large free car park. Staff were super friendly and soon sorted out some room problems. Dining area has been recently refurbished with a pleasant outlook over the canal. Corridor areas and the rooms we stayed in, although clean, large and functional seemed a bit tired and in need of a refurb. Powerful shower. Lift doesn't go to all floors. Doesn't seem to have Air conditioning. Breakfast was fine. Good location about 1 mile from Skipton town centre. Bus stop opposite takes you into Skipton if you don't want to drive."
"We have been visiting the White Lion normally around 3 times a year since 1994. We have witnessed some major changes and improvements over the years.
The White Lion is without doubt the best place to stay in Hebden Bridge. Improvements to the hotel are ongoing and noticeable every time we visit. The bar and restaurant areas have been refurbished and the rooms are being modernised to a very high standard.
All staff are always very pleasant and have a 'can do' approach. In fact they all have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Dining in the White Lion is always a pleasure with a varied and very tasty menu. Breakfast is the best in Hebden with high quality locally sourced ingredients.
The White Lion is located in the very centre of Hebden Bridge, close to all local bars and restaurants and offers free parking which is a luxury in Hebden. Not many other places offer this.
Staying at the White Lion is also very reasonably priced. We would not stay anywhere else. It's high end quality and excellent value for money.
We will be returning soon and will continue to recommend the White Lion to all our friends and family."
"Rooms 6 not en suite bathroom away from the room further than expected . Toiletries provided.

"Small room but perfect for what we needed for one stay following a trip to watch footie in Burnley. The lady on breakfast service was very kind and friendly and we all enjoyed the breakfast - would stay again and great we could bring the dog too"
