"Supposed to be able to check in by noon. Arrived at 3:15 and the auto check in wouldn’t work and no staff until 4 pm. Frustrating! Also no hair dryer or kettle. Realise it is a budget hotel but these omissions were not obvious when booking and other lower priced hotels don’t miss out on these items."

"Staff were really nice and helpful, mainly trying to find solutions for the issue we reported with the bedroom. Easy to park. While it seems clean in general, the smell in the bedroom (mainly in the second/small bedroom) was really awful. It is maybe humidity/mold or something coming from the air conditioning system. The 3 of us ended up sleeping in the same bed as my son refused to sleep in the smelly bedroom. Thankfully we only stayed for one night!"

"Spacious rooms, beautiful new pool, breakfast okay. Check out at 11am. Characterful building. No air con in rooms, fans were unavailable from reception. Lovely attentive staff but need more staff on site. Dining area needs updating. Overall good value for money. Hotel has huge potential to become 5* with investment."

"Excelllent over-the-phone service prior to check-in, reliable out-of-hours access (this is gold dust having been let down badly by a competitor just around the corner before), very comfortable room. Highly recommended. Once again, having had previously awful experiences, this hotel was excellent on all the metrics which count. Thank you!"

"Wonderful staff. Uncomfortable (very hard) mattress. Cooler was non-functional. Loud traffic from street with windows open. Exterior surroundings could use some improvement."

"The evening meal was superb. Breakfast was frugal; we had to ask for croissants since none were left after other diners had taken 2 each whereupon the owner brought my wife and I a croissant each on a tray."
