"I booked a single room at the Knaresborough Inn for a very reasonable price and so wasn't expecting much from the stay. The car parking was good, there was even someone blowing the leaves and stones from the drive in the morning. Staff were very friendly and the room was well presented and very clean. I ate in the bar where there were a good selection of beers and ciders and the food was ok too. I wasn't sure what to expect from breakfast because trip advisor was brutal on this aspect but I was pleasantly surprised. It is served buffet style much the same as a premier Inn breakfast. Everything was very nice with the exception of the fried eggs which looked fine but were solid. Checkout was easy. Be aware that reception closes at 11pm so if you haven't checked in by then, you're not getting you're room key. This was an issue for my friends who were also staying here. They tried calling Knaresborough for two days running, no one answered the phone ever. Just worth noting if you every need to contact the hotel. Overall I would definitely stay here again though."
