"The hotel room we stayed in could do with refurbishment and some items in hall way old picture and junk could do with removing as it’s not a good look Room no 3 above boiler which woke us at 06.15 we did manage to get back to sleep though however went to use shower no hot water ! the hot/cold dial just went around I would suggest this has been broken for some time Room rather cramped and not worth paying extra for a sea view as cars parked and view restricted The plus were excellent breakfast and a warm friendly welcome on arrival unfortunately we didn’t think it was value for money "

"The breakfast was great, the restaurant in the club house was nicer than in the main hotel. The spa was excellent (massages and great pedicure with friendly staff). The pool was good, but busy. Convenient location."

"Property is extremely dated and very little investment made. Lift doesn't work, some of the leisure facilities haven't worked for days. Fantastic location and access to the beach through the gardens. The outside pool was freezing when the outside temp was 20+, was defo not heated. The electric shower was disconnected with no warning, the sink was blocked that should of been picked up, the sofa lost a lot of pudding, the phone doesn't work, the fire alarm went off at midnight for 5 sec, windows are dirty. The property feels like it hasn't moved from the 1970s. If you want no frills with a leisure centre and easy access to the beach, this is an ideal property. "

"The hotel is on the beach and a close walk to centre of town and very close to the marina. The room was clean and bright. Staff are very helpful, welcoming and professional. "

"Caravan was slightly smaller but well equipped and laid out, lovely walks from the site to the coast. Swimming pool, restaurant and chippy all very nice to have on site as well."

"Shocking hotel in a very tired condition,the windows were moldy and cracked tiles loose floor boards and as for the bedding it was discusting with stained bed sheets and hairs on them which i dread to think where they came from. I ended up leaving early without breakfast as i really didnt want to eat there..unfortunately there was no staff to complain to in the morning."

"Was very disappointed at being charged extra to park the car because we booked through Hotels.com. Only received a refund when we complained and pointed out that had I come and just bought a coffee I would have been eligible for free parking as I would have been considered to be a customer. But not considered to be a customer when staying overnight. "

"Lovely place, just out of the town centre. Craig was really welcoming on arrival. I stayed in the Oak room which was clean, spacious and comfortable. It had a nice big bathroom area with a rainfall walk in shower. Free parking was off the road in front of the building. I couldn't ask for more. Perfect for the weekend away."
