"I stayed in a low price four person room on the 10th floor. Overall, I think it was great for the price, so a good value. There is AC and a thermostat to control the temp, which helped a lot, even in Feb! I try to be very quiet when other people are sleeping so it was complicated to be on the top bunk. Any time I needed something from my suitcase I needed to unlock the locker, take the suitcase out, put the suitcase on the top bunk, and climb up to do anything. There wasn't enough floor space to put the suitcase on the floor, except maybe in the entry area. My one main complaint would be that the shower water never got hot and the water flow was pretty low."

"Perfect location when visiting anyone at USC or wanting to stay near the school. Clean, comfortable & quiet rooms with a very friendly, knowledegable and helpful staff."

"The area is a little questionable, but you are in downtown/Hollywood area of LA. The room was clean, as was the hotel. You can tell they have recently fixed up the property. Note that the parking is very tight in the garage below the hotel, and it was easier, having an SUV, to park across the street in their lot. I was directed to and used the Virtual Assisted check in machine, and although he was difficult to hear at times, the process was smooth. I would stay here again. "

"They closed the pool AND hot tub for the entire evening for 1 broken glass. How can a property that size not have a maintenance crew capable of cleaning that up in a timely manner to re-open the facilities THAT WE PAY TO USE for the 1 night we get to stay there?? Unacceptable and DO NOT RECOMMEND you stay here "

"This was my first time in LA, and I can say the hotel made the experience amazing. The customer service from start to finish was top-notch, and I would definitely stay here again. The spa was 10/10 as well, and the food was good. I only had the opportunity to go to one restaurant outside the hotel, and the cocktails and food there were excellent. This is an ideal place to stay if you are visiting that area. I highly recommend it. Thank you to the JW Marriott and staff for making my trip such a good one!"

"So, I was close to giving a 3/5 stars but the 2 main issues I have are not actually associated with the hotel themselves. And the hotel staff have at least attempted to rectify the issue to make the experience more comfortable. 1. Terrible parking availability. 2. Noise issue 1. Valet is $66 PER NIGHT. And good luck parking on any of the lots nearby on the street (not associated with the hotel). There's a HIGH CHANCE your car will be smashed and vandalized. We got back from dinner and these poor guys' window was smashed and they said several other cars were smashed too. The lots claim they're surveilled 24hr, but that's a lie. Unless there's a 24/7 lot attendant, I would NOT trust these streets. 2. At the top floor, at night past 10 pm, there was an incessant deep rumbling sound, as if someone's Escalade was parked outside the building blasting bass music all night even a quarter past 2 am. I guess it was a club down the street somewhere. If you're someone who can't sleep through this constant rumbling like me, then this will NOT be a nice evening experience. Staff was kind enough (shout out to Kevian) for helping me find a quieter room. But being in an area with lots of nightlife, there is always going to be sounds around. The 2 main things that made this experience great: 1. Great service and hospitable staff 2. Dog friendly - though I would suggest having a "pet relief" area somewhere outside or on the rooftop terrace. That would help a lot!"
