"The food in the hotel is really expensive, especially for non norweigans. Food is directed to their pallets and tastes and dies not provide options for tourists and children from other places. You can spend any from £40 -£50 for lunch and the same for dinner per person. If you dont like food not much else in offer other than pot noddles. Went hungry quite few times. Drinks are crazy expensive. Beer costing around £12."
"A bit run down but still nice enough if you are just passing through. Wouldn't stay if vacationing there. Empty parking lot but we were still charged $15 to park. Skipped breakfast."
"Very cool property in the middle of nowhere. Not convenient to other restaurants or shops. Beautiful area though. Interesting restaurant and breakfast is included. They are very focused on reducing waste so portions are small intentionally. Breakfast is the same requiring you preorder which is a bit of a pain. However the room we were in was very well equipped with a small fridge and kitchenette so I'd bring snacks. We were in the Besseggen suite. It was great except it was at the top of VERY narrow stairs which my poor husband had to haul our huge cruise suitcases up. Also I had to scoot the bed over so that the folding doors to the bathroom could open. As long as you're aware of the unusual nature of the hotel you'll have a great time "
"Great little spot for hikers and bikers who are passing through and need a warm meal and a bit of comfort. Warm, friendly environment and terrific food and drink. Good conversation with fellow cyclists was also great. "
