In 40 years holidaying I can honestly say Hotel Diligence is one of the best that my wife Anne and I have stayed at.
The furnishing are beautiful/comfortable bed/ lots of little Knick Knacks to make our stay even more enjoyable.
and a very good breakfast.
I whole heartedly recommend staying there

A gem of a place for a birthday overnight stay. Laurent and Bruno were exceptionally warm and welcoming and our son was delighted that his bedroom had the beautiful view of the Chateau Gaillard! Seizing the moment early Sunday morning to look at the respective views whilst reading, we knew we would like to return for longer. The best breakfast on Sunday morning made it hard to leave. Thank you!!

We had an overnight stay here on our way back to Calais. Electric car charging point available, although only 1 so we were lucky to get it! Slow charging so ideal as we left it overnight to be fully charged.
Beautiful setting right on the Seine. We had a standard room which was perfectly good for 1 night: air con, big walk in shower, tea and coffee facilities (though take English tea bags if you like English tea!).
We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious and the staff were lovely....

We really enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family of 5. Although a little of route it was a stop off on our way to La Rochelle. We found this a great restful break and a great start to our holiday. I’ve bases it all 5 stay on the price of the stay £140 for a family of 5. We had the 3 bedroom accomadtion and it had everything we needed. It is dated, but all in all a good stopping point for us as this is always difficulty for a family of 5.

Great spot. Lovely clean, well maintained hotel with lovely grounds and right next to a river where you can take a long walk. Super accessible location and very quiet surroundings. Only slight downside was the breakfast which was very limited.

Probably the world’s most sumptuous bed and breakfast, the chateau is beautifully restored and outfitted with an assortment of antiques and contemporary fittings. The owners are wonderfully welcoming and really went out of their way to make my short stay memorable

Heating was important on this trip as I was on my motorcycle and as ever it worked well.
Reception staff lovely as ever.
Only gripe was I was leaving at 7am and breakfast was not available and nobody was on reception so I had to leave my room key by the door.
Overall excellent value for money

Absolutely perfect for an overnight stop on the way down to the Sud Ouest. Room was incredibly clean and the air conditioning was a welcome extra. We ate at the pizzeria which was 200m away from the hotel. Food was good and fairly good value. I immediately rebooked for the journey north in August.

This is a beautiful old fairytale hotel in fabulous gardens. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. We can’t recommend it highly enough and hope to return one day

Very nice room overlooking the beautiful garden. Although it was a very hot night, with the windows open all around I got a cooling breeze from the garden. The area was quiet. Easy walking distance to cafes, shops, restaurants and the market. Secure parking.
