minimal staff but they were very friendly and helpful. Provided us with a portable fan for the room as it was unexpectedly hot in England during our stay. Room was comfortable and quite big by European standards

we couldn't stay because there was no car park available when we arrived,the restaurant was closed ,we had a four tier wedding cake in the car and not suitable to leave it overnight outside as the temperature was too low ,the hotel was very nice and the young man was polite ,helpful ,the hotel was just not satisfactory for us

Great place to stay in the centre of Farnham

Lovely welcoming service, in spite of COVID restrictions still being in place. Comfortable, clean rooms, although a little warm I think because we were right in the eaves.

Lovely 18th century building updated with mod cons in the heart of Farnham central to everything. This was my first time travelling since February (pre-pandemic and lockdown) and it was reassuring to note the covid-secure measures that they had put in place. My stay was very comfortable and I'm sure I'll be back!

It is a strange hotel with limited reception. Breakfast is not very good even pre CV19. On the plus the staff that you encounter are friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious, Good shower. Fresh milk in room also a plus.

Nice hotel, probably great in normal circumstances

The location of the Bishop's Table was excellent for us, as it is in central Farnham and just a few yards from my mother-in-law's flat. There is limited free parking but a warning to anyone with a large SUV or people carrier, the access to the car park is via an archway that was designed for horse carriages. Very narrow and our SUV just fitted. With the current Covid-19 situation, reception hours are limited and we received a phone call as we were driving to ask when we would be checking in to make sure we would be able to access the room. Check in was very friendly and quick. The room was smaller than we expected and the rather warm. It was one of the hottest days of the year, but as the hotel room had no air conditioning, it was rather uncomfortable. Fortunately, unlike many hotels, the windows actually open almost completely, so we were able to get some air and that really helped. There was a small kettle and most of the usual "fixings" but although there was coffee (regular and decaff), herbal teas and instant hot chocolate provided, there was no normal "black" tea. A real disappointment for my wife. Despite notices saying everything had been cleaned before our arrival, cleanliness was not up to scratch. Lip stick mark on one glass, dirty marks on several towels,a bit of black mould in the shower and, a real annoyance, the kettle contained water - perhaps from a previous guest. A nice hotel, operating in difficult times, but must try harder.

A group of our friends stayed for a wedding at the Bishops Table Hotel. None of the rooms were provided water. I booked the hotel four months prior and I was given an attic room and hit my head several times because the walls are painted in solid white. We called early for breakfast and no answer from reception so I headed down to front desk and was told “well I’m serving breakfast in the dining room”. The bad attitude given by the personal is what made my experience generally unpleasant.

Lovely little Hotel

We stayed at the bishops table for two nights, very quick and friendly check in and the same when we checked out. Would definitely recommend staying there lovely little hotel.
