"This hotel is not really managed in any meaningful sense. Wifi went down for three days, which meant going off to another hotel to work. They gave me a carton of orange juice by way of apology! The lady at reception also didn't know that only one of the POS machines works for international cards so lots of time wasted try to make a payment. I checked out and moved to Nordic hotel -- more expensive but at least stuff works and you can get things done. I should say that staff at the View are...

"The property looks even better in-person. We booked the penthouse and we were blown away by how luxurious it was. Rhe arwa is secure and we felt safe the entire time. The only real downside was the Wi-Fi and the food delivery took way too long to arrive. The foid was really tasty though so that made up for the wait. Also there were hidden nightly fees so make sure to read the fine print before booking."

"I stayed at Vintano Hotel during my recent trip to Lagos, and honestly, it ended up being the peace and comfort I needed after a very stressful accommodation experience elsewhere. The hotel was clean, calm, comfortable, and everything worked properly — especially the water supply, cleanliness, and overall environment. The staff were polite, helpful, and always willing to assist whenever needed. My stay was initially only supposed to be for a few days, but I ended up extending it, and what I appreciated most was how seamless the process was. I didn’t have to move rooms or go through any unnecessary stress. The team accommodated me so well and made everything easy. After the chaos I experienced before arriving, Vintano gave me peace of mind, comfort, and somewhere I could properly rest and reset. I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay there again whenever I’m in Lagos."

Four Points by Sheraton Lagos

"This was a very disappointing experience. First, upon checking in, they gave me a room with two single beds despite having purchased a room with a king size bed. Second, the room smelled like mold, according to the bellman. This required me to go back to the front desk to get the type of room I paid for -- which also smelled like mold. Apparently, the smell is coming from the air conditioners, which indicates they need to be cleaned. I also ordered breakfast and dinner included with my room. What wasn't clear is that drinks are not included. I don't mean bar drinks, I mean water. In a city that doesn't provide clean water, a hotel that charges $5 for water is ridiculous! It would be more understandable if this were a budget hotel brand, but Sheraton is not a budget hotel brand. This brings me to my last point: Sheraton (Marriott) workers hide behind the policy that since I reserved the room through hotels.com, they can't/won't make any changes to my reservation -- despite the fact that they tried to extort money from me by putting me in a cheaper room than I paid for! So whether this is a hotels.com problem or a Marriott/Sheraton problem, it left me very disappointed with and regretting my choice to stay there."

"The staff at Lilygate are exceptional. I was created by my name as soon as I walked in the door! Nice touch. In addition, I was created with a refreshing cold bottle of water and juice. Ms. Chinyere Kalu, leader at the front desk was a perfect example of providing excellent customer service. She arranged my transportation from the airport to Lilygate, as well as from Lilygate to Ouidah, Benin. If I lived in Lagos, I would hire Ms. Kalu. If you're looking for a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience in Lekki, remember to stay at Lilygate. Thank you to everyone! Well done!"

"I booked this hotel on Expedia for two nights DecThey are unprofessional and don’t even have a computer where they manage guest records and reservation. They have a notebook where they write everything like this is 1882. Expedia should de-list them. They use Expedia and other booking platforms to advertise their hotels but when you get there, particularly during peak periods like Detty December, they will tell you they don’t have the room but if you are willing to pay a higher price directly to them (out of booking platform), they would check you in. It’s fraud most hotels perform in Lagos to defraud unsuspecting travelers. "
