It's a great central location to go to Gullfoss, Geysir, several hikes (some that are only accessible in the summer), the only mushroom farm in Iceland and has a cafe, a dairy farm with cafe, and the Secret Lagoon. Lovely decorated, clean room. Small things that could have been better - kettle in room but where it's situated, can't be plugged in - had to put it on the floor. Would have been good to have glasses in room and a fridge would have been great! Otherwise, nice enough stay.
