"Excellent location. Exceptional staff and service. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Great amenities and grounds. Overall excellent! but...the mattresses on the queen beds were so bad and lumpy that everyone woke up with pretty bad back and hip pain, one to the degree she urgently needs a cortisone shot. Pretty bad. Too bad, because all else is outstanding. If they replace the old, horrible mattresses, the place will be exceptional."

"Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. The only issue with the room was the lighting. There was only was light in the living room area and one light in the bedroom. Otherwise it was a very nice room. "

"We had an awesome stay at The Hamilton- Hoppin House. The room was very clean and spacious. Our stay was during some of the coldest weather Newport has seen in years and the room was still nice and warm. The property has a ton of historic charm and still provides a very comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend Hamilton Hoppin House"

"Charged for coffee…they shouldn’t since it’s not even good tasted “burnt”. The hot tub area was nice (no jets tho!) with a clear glass ceiling minus the dead dragonfly that was probably there for months. It was a nice morning spot to have coffee. Rooms eh. Only give 2 towels. No room service. Nothing great or bad but worth the cheaper price if you’re on a budget. Plus is they have a tiny fridge if needed and bed was comfy. "

"A very nice hotel. Unfortunately we were in the Victorian Room, which is on the first floor right next to the main reception area and opposite the breakfast room. It was therefore very noisy and we could not sleep, especially after 7am. Thankfully we were relocated to a quieter room after two nights there. Avoid the Victorian Room if you are a light sleeper or like to sleep in. "

"Cindy was an amazing host who greeted us as soon as we got out of our car. She offered us hot chocolate and told us to meet her inside when we were ready. She was the nicest person you could ask for. Our room was great. The bed was very comfortable. It was quiet, and was in a great location with access to plenty of shops and restaurants. The homemade breakfast in the morning was one of the best we've ever had - fench toast casserole with blueberry. It was perfect! 10/10 would stay here again and...
