"Definately NOT a 5 star hotel. Rooms in massive need of updating, and the spa also. The Spa when we went was very messy, paper cups and peoples slippers/robes on floor scattered about. Looks like in need to some TLC. Visited Bath many a time and far nicer places to stay in my opinion, especially for the price. Building is beautiful, breakfast was as expected, check in fine, staff lovely, location ok 10 min walk into centre - just desperately needs some updating. "

"Room wasnt massive but it did feel cosy. Bathroom door would swing wide open and bang on the desk unless you fully closed it. Shower wouldnt turn off fully. Comfy bed and nice temperature, good nights sleep. Breakfast wasn't that enjoyable - dry bacon, greasy hashbrowns, weird flavour sausages. Enjoyed the fruit and yoghurt though."

"Hotel was clean and comfortable. My main issue was that there wasn’t decent lighting in the room - the lights in the main room were very dull. Fine for the evening but felt like I couldn’t see properly in the morning - especially as there was very little day light coming into the room."
