"Great location for srart the shimanami kaido cycling route. Clean and well maintained hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet with many choices of Japanese food. Friendly and polite staff. There have a forwarding luggage to your next hotel if you do a bike ride, cost 2,200 yen per suitcase. We got a habor view double room. We love the view. Small, but function room. Really clean. Good size of bathroom with all nice amenities. I was worried about the size of double bed for us, but it was actually comfortable than my expectations. Note on the AC, we don't think it worked or it was controlled by the center. You cannot adjust your room temperature to your likes. We stayed in 45F in an evening, it was quite warm. So we contacted the front desk, they came immediately to open the big window to let the fresh air in. There is an air fliter in our room. We would stay here again. Friendly and helpful staff, great location, excellent breakfast, and clean room."

"Charming hillside hotel with fantastic views. The room was spacious, clean, modernised with the exception of the bathroom which is still more of a traditional, dated Japanese bathroom, however, it was still very clean and of course functioning well. The Japanese breakfast in the morning was very lovely, accompanied by great views again. The lobby has a cafe where they do great latte art. There’s also a letter room where you can print photos and send letter which was a nice touch. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. One note of caution, this really is a hillside hotel, we initially planned to walk because google map says it was 16 minutes but it would be quite a trek up hill with very narrow paths so driving / taxi would be the way to go and there’s a taxi rank at the station which would be about a 10 mins journey and <1500 yen. "

"Very organized. Super neat style and unique qualities to it. The onsen/spa was about a 2min walk away, but they were prepared to let you borrow their tote bag and yukata sweater, and sandals. They provided socks, razor, toothbrush with toothpaste, etc. You can borrow a pitcher and fill it with water at your convenience at their side entrance for hotel guest. Breakfast was provided for free, not a plentiful variety or sum, but enough to get you satisfied, as well as a free drink. Very good coffee served. Strong but easy on the taste buds. The onsen/spa made my day each time. Was very exhausted at the end of my excursions, so it really helped get me relaxed. 😌 Super grateful to the workers, very patient and spoke enough English to carry a simple conversation. Otherwise, I used Google translate to communicate if I couldn’t say it the way I needed to. Would definitely return and recommend to anybody else visiting Fukuyama. "

"The room was wonderful and clean. But the pillows were very thin. You need to get softer, thicker pillows. Everything else was great. We will stay there again if we are ever back that way. "
