"Great location, friendly staff and overall clean rooms. The hotel could use some updating as the rooms appear outdated with some observable blemishes including but not limited to the following; front door exit button, pot holes in the parking lot, coffee bar with cold water, and cracks in the popcorn ceiling. All the aforementioned issues would not prevent us from staying here in the future because of the friendly staff and convenient location."

"First of all this is an older building and it is in need of repair. And it offers a discounted price to compensate for this. Don't let the outward appearance discourage you. I stayed 5 nights. The location is just out of town and is a safe location to stay in. The room I had was very clean. The bedding, furniture, towels were in very good condition. They looked new. The AC worked very well, and the refrigerator was good sized and cold. You could set the thermostat where you wanted it. The bathroom was small, but it had a hot shower and a tub. Not a turned down water heater to save money like hotels costing 5 times their price! It had a heat lamp in the ceiling, plus a separate exhaust fan. I never heard any of the other guests while in my room , and there was no partying of any kind going on that I noticed. The people at the desk and the maids were fantastic, friendly, and helpful, and made me feel like they appreciated me using their hotel. They were "kind" people if you care about that. I will be staying in this hotel for all my visits in the future to Oskaloosa, IA. It's about a 3 minute ride to be right in the city where the restaurants and shops are. Oskaloosa is a great mid-sized midwestern town with lots of goods and services. The people who were staying in the hotel were driving mostly new cars. They were dressed nicely and were a friendly bunch. There is also a security person on site. Jeff Anderson"
