    Cinzia & Joe are wonderfully welcoming & so keen to please, it's like home from home.They provide a great breakfast in period setting dating from Victorian times. The decor & architechural details are largely original giving the whole place charming old-fashioned astmosphere.

    Lovely old guest house in a traditional style, the house is full of character ( or characters if the owners are reading this:-)...) Just minutes from the old town and seafront on foot, great quality restaurants and bars right on your doorstep, a perfect location for a city break in heart of Funchal old town. Will definitely return if in Funchal again.

    Wir hatten das geräumige Dreibettzimmer mit Bad. Genügend Platz für zwei Personen. Tolle Aussicht im zweiten Stock über den Hafen und einen Teil der Stadt. Die Vermieter sind supernett und erfüllten alle Wünsche. Frühstück ist ausreichend, auf Wunsch gibt es Rührei oder gekochtes Ei. Wurst, Käse, Brot und Säfte sind ausreichend vorhanden. Morgens frühstücken alle an einem großen Tisch, so dass man sich nett austauschen kann. Am Wochenende kann es schonmal wegen der benachbarten Bar etwas laut werden. In der Regel ist ab 23:00 Ruhe. Die Strasse ist stark von Autos und Personen frequentiert. Deshalb auch hier entsprechend Geräuschkulisse bzw, auch nicht immer ein Parkplatz frei. Ansonsten gibt es aber eine nahegelegene Tiefgarage für 80 cent/H bzw. 6 Eur für den ganzen Tag.

    Vitorina Corte Guesthouse is an amazing property and experience. Joe, Cinzia and Grace invite you in and really look after you from the breakfasts at the long table to each of the unique and beautiful rooms. A truly memorable and amazing experience with absolutely no negatives.

    Lovely Old Town guesthouse

    I loved my stay at Vitorina. Cinzia & Joe are very warm and friendly hosts and owner Grace was a delight. Joe and his brother met me at the airport and took me in to the house. That was a good idea because the building would have been hard for me to find on my own. Cinzia and Joe then served me breakfast and let me check in early. The location is in the old town but not in the middle where all the big crowds are. My favorite fish restaurant, O Tasco, is about a five minute walk away. Also, don't miss Cidade Velha Restaurant, right next to the old fort. Cinzia told me about O Tasco and a few others that were spot on. I hope to return to Vitorina next year!

    We had a wonderful time here and would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone who likes to stay in an establishment with life and character. The house itself is splendidly situated in Funschal. Our room was a delight. The breakfasts were excellent and our hosts went out of their way to make sure that our stay was memorable. We will be back! (Ps They do a great line in all types of eggmaking and will be particularly delighted if you ask for poached. )

    Hotel ótimo

    Foi uma estadia ótima, boa vista, boa carma e servico muito agradável. A gerente é muito bom, o pequeno almoco é ótimo, e especialmente a área local, o hotel fica na rua mais antiga em Funchal muito perto do mar. O Hotel tem muita tranquilidade, jardim bonita.

    Charmantes Gästehaus

    Dies ist mein zweiter Aufenthalt in diesem charmanten B&B - und wieder wurde ich sehr herzlich empfangen und war wieder begeistert. Diesesmal war ich in einem modern renovierten Zimmer mit Terrasse und Blick auf die Berge untergebracht.

    Super friendly guesthouse in great location

    This charming guesthouse is located in the old town and is a great alternative to any of the generic hotels. Most sights can be easily reached by foot in a few minutes. The breakfast is simple but good and a great opportunity to meet the other guests. The tower-room has great views though is relatively simply furnished. On weekend evenings you will hear the music from the neighbouring bar, but generally you will mainly hear waves from the sea. Free parking is available, and due to the small roads in the old town a small car is recommended :-) Can only recommend the place

    Hospitality 10/10, lovely old historic house

    I want to thank my host Cinzia, for a great stay in Vitorina Corte Guesthouse. She is fond of looking after her guests and I noticed that straight away. My first room was quite noisy at night and I was transferred to another one the same evening. I had to transfer back a day later, however that was okay. Besides, I have paid for the 'budget' room, so what could I expect more? The room can get quite hot by night, however a fan is always nearby. For me, it was just a good quality room, especially looking at the combination price/location/hospitality/breakfast. Good to know: the noisy thing is going to be fixed soon. The windows of the room will be replaced. Had a great stay and great help during my sickness at the second-last day. Hope to visit the residence again someday :-).
