Some time after making the reservation I called to ask how to check-in given that it said there is no front desk and I didn't receive any instructions. I was told in German they are fully booked, despite having a confirmed reservation (and the hotels.com website having several rooms there). "Großes funktionales Zimmer, das Bad mit spezieller Dusche und Whirlpool-Badewanne (nur mit Dusch- und Badefunktion - ohne Whirl- oder Düsenfunktionen), Snacks und Getränke für den Kühlschrank, allgemein gutes Frühstücksbuffet, personenlosen Check-In via Tresor. So ein paar Kleinigkeiten fehlten (Fön), keine Waschmaschine zur Nutzung, der Brüh-Kaffee aus der Kanne besonders - für uns nicht genießbar. Und zu Fuß echt weit oben und ab vom Schuss - nächste Versorgung etwa 2km bergab… Ansonsten...

"Went there for a work trip. Overall experience was good. Only a small personal remark about the bed. The bed was ok, but a bit of a thin squeaky mattress. Also 2 separate mattresses in a double bed where one is lying higher than the other isn't extremely comfortable. Nonetheless. Breakfast was good, room was ok. Good for a business trip."

"Nicly situated hotel with beautiful view over Bodenmais. Pool, sauna, garden, restaurant and bar at the hotel. New proprietors (June 2025) which did everything to make us feel welcome and at home. A lot of out door activities avaliable in vicinity. Summer rodel was on our 12-year top list. Staying at Luca in Bodenmais gave access to a local activity card which gave really good discounts on a lot of activities - for instance was two tours with summer rodel at Silberberg, ski lift and tour in...
