"This hotel is right on the sea so I would recommend taking a sea view room. They have big suits that are very spacious. We took the best room comprised of a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, living room, and media room. All of those were a decent size so it felt like living in your apartment. The balcony was massive with nice furniture as well.

"Everything was great. The one thing I will say, ensure that you have clicked on the right amount of guests; for some reason, my Expedia defaulted to one guest and we were charged 40 euro a night for each night, which ended up costing an additional 400 euro for the stay. "

There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. The location is good, walking distance to the train station, because I did day trips to the nearby little towns by train. "Lovely hotel, very comfortable beds, great service and staff. Breakfast was great also. Great for visiting Messina, close to all attractions including the Duomo. Great theatre across from hotel with free concert and lovely restaurant up the side street next to the theatre. Great view from room, we were able to watch the arrival and departure of many ships including cruise ships and the boat trains."
