"I want to first start out by saying that the staff were very kind. I usually avoid writting negative reviews as it could just be a "me" preference but I really need to write this one. We got in a bit later so we quickly dropped off our bags and went for dinner. Oddly enough, the bathroom door was shut when we got it but thought nothing of it. Once we were back at the hotel, we then realized that the bathroom had an extremely strong smell of sewer. Strong enough that when I tried to use it, I was dry heaving and no, I am not being dramatic. So I quickly sent a message to the hotel at around 8 pm. We didn't get a call until 10 pm saying we could switch rooms. As we were flying out the next morning, I really wasn't wanting to pack up at 10 pm and move rooms. They did offer to private shuttle us to the airport as compensation. Which we appreciated. Paying over $350 CAD for a room that had a few issues really made me realize that I need to not just see 10/10 reviews and think it'll be great.... did I think they could have done more, sure. What would have been great is a quick response or more quality control checks in their rooms."
