I guess its an island and not to expect a lot.. the room kinda amell fiahy, not sure because of the sewer.. they have good breakfast though and the staff are really nice. The room looks like a 2 or 3 stars,, we had a private pool but the water amells, maybe beacuse of the island? Ita not that bad but dont expect a lot

Extremely nice staff. Loud music at night.

Great value for money. Small room and small private pool. The location was on the main street, which we did not like because there is too much noise in the night. The breakfast was acceptable. But Nothing special. The staff was super Nice, helpful and polite. If you dont mind the loud music and noise in the night, i would highly recommend this place.

A great stay

A small but well kept villa. Staff are fantastic and it’s in a good location with excellent value for money. Only downside is the loud ‘jiggy bar’ nightclub next door which pumps music to all hours. Pack ear plugs and you’ll be right.

customer service sucks

ordered food never comes. already heard the waiter repeated one more time the order but the food never shown until we chase them few times. we were thought it was just happened in occasion but 2 nights we stayed there, every time there will be missing food when we order.

Bed bugs! Bed bugs! Need I say more. Don't listen the the other reviews. There is no need to stay at this dump. For the money there are 100s of other way better places to stay. Besides being located between to two loudest bars on the island the house keeping stole my electronics. And to top it off I found bed bugs on my sheet at night. Please do yourself and who ever your traveling with.. Go somewhere else! It's not worth it. Yeah the food wasn't bad, sure. The staff was friendly, but at the end of the day none of that mattered..

Lucky we found Black Penny

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was good and suits 3 of us to stay. Quite clean and polite staff able to assist us whenever needed. Breakfast was awesome.

Black Penny is a oasis in the middle of a busy street! I loved our pool ... after a bike ride or eating this was a wonderful way to relax with a dip and a drink of course! The staff are a,aging, friendly and professional. I felt very welcomed. We ate here every day because the place is so clean and the food so good. Highly recommended.

Private plunge pool, not so private part of town.

Our stay at the Black Penny was enjoyable until around 2am each night. The villas are next door to a popular island bar, which is great if you like to party; terrible otherwise. We woke numerous times from the loud thumping noises coming from the bar. Not to mention the loud, obnoxious and crude conversations coming from partygoers who thought it would be a great idea to take the after party back to their rooms at the Black Penny.

Holiday in Paradise

The Villa was very comfortable and staff serviced it every day, often surprising us with animal representation of towels on our beds. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff made our stay especially memorable. We were greeted each morning and evening when we arrived home from a day out. It was home away from home. Our complementary breakfast was always amazing. I would highly recommend the villas, also an advantage being right in the heart of the night life and transport hub.

We don’t recommend

Over priced! Pool dirty. Shower head broken. Toilets didn’t flush. Aircon leaked. Sheets and towels dirty and stained. most staff accomodating how ever on one occasion a staff member tried to over charge us drinks without showing the bill. Really disappointing considering how much we paid for 5 nights. Do not recommend.
