Good place to stay bear in mind it is not a hotel
This accomodation was clean , ultra secure and had the bonus of free wired broadband access in the room RJ45 lead is loaned to you on arrival @ no charge (speedtest showed 2.3mb download)
No TV in room but I used laptop to stream TV.
Other hotels I have used in the area in the past are the travelodge Dumbarton and the Erskine bridge hotel but the Queen Margaret Residences outshine both these places in terms of cleanliness security and the standard of room.
Student accomodation is its principal role but it is the best student accomodation I have come across.
The accomodation is like a modern tenement with 8 flats .
Entry to the block is via a security door operated by your electronic key fob .You then enter the block stairway which is bright well lit and carpeted. each flat has its own door which is locked.
When you enter the flat you then have your own room which is also locked .
There are five bedrooms per unit, which share a large modern clean kitchen with all that you would need if you wanted to self cater .There are complimentary teas coffee etc in the kitchen for guests to use. Each room has a single bed basic bed but comfortable enough , an ensuite shower/ wc room no bath but the shower has excellent pressure and ample hot water .
clean towels , soap and shower sachets also provided,
There is also a games room/lounge /tv area/which is in the reception block.
When you arrive you are given vouchers for a daily complimentary muffin and fruit juice a nice touch :-)
Parking bays are ample and as this is a student campass / village it has security cameras covering the area .and on site security/reception at the entry point . I slept easy knowing my car was safe but to be honest the surounding area is pretty decent so no need to worry about your car and I walked back from town late at night without any concern.
If you are looking for a luxurious pampered experience then go to the Ritz but if all you want is a good clean secure place to stay at a reasonable cost then i would recommend this place .
If your like me and dont want to make your own breakfast there is a wetherspoons pub 1.6 ml away at Anniesland which does excellent breakfasts at reasonable cost .(opens @ 9 am )
