"Good location with plenty of parking. Well maintained property. Check in process, was quick and efficient, be aware that you will need to book a time for breakfast. Didn’t eat at the restaurant in the evening, so can’t comment. However, breakfast was very good with lots of selection, both hot and cold. Big portions on the cooked breakfast, couldn’t finish it. Bar staff friendly. On the minus, we put a used towel in the bath expecting it to be replaced, however, on returning in the evening, found it put back onto the towel rail?? Also, when checking the time of our breakfast booking for the second morning with the male receptionist, instead of giving me eye contact, he looked me up and down from head to toe, maybe he didn’t approve of my fashion choice…. I found it quite unsettling and rude. It was so obvious that even my husband noticed!"

"Clean room and helpful staff throughout our 5 night stay. Noise from the bar entrance/exit goes on until the small hours of the morning and traffic lights directly below, so recommend room is selected away from the street side as the windows offer absolutely no noise abatement. Food is good with a large selection however no evening food available, so recommend The Anglers opposite for evening meals"

"A lovely family stop-over whilst driving through. The host was very helpful and welcoming and friendly and pointed us in the direction for evening food. Car parking is aplenty and on the roadside. The bed (we had the family room) was extremely comfortable and we all slept well. Breakfast in the morning was lovely too."

"We had a nice overnight stay. The room was clean with plenty of room. The bathroom was big with a good shower. We both enjoyed the evening meal in the bar area, nice food good portions and nice staff. There were two weddings being held so the restaurant was closed, which was fine for us but other guests might have enjoyed a meal in the restaurant. The only thing we felt that could be improved was the breakfast. It would have been nice to have some pastries, some fruit and fibre as another cereal choice and also muesli. I also feel that the quality of the bread could be improved. Overall, the stay was good."
