"This place is GORGEOUS! We were here for the historical aspect. My husband’s grandfather taught at this Merchant Marine School way back in the day. We were shocked by how nice everything is. The only reasons I didn’t give this fabulous place five stars is: 1. No refrigerator! At the beach, I need my drinks cold! 2. While dinner was undoubtedly excellent, I left the table somewhat hungry and I never finish my plate. And the cost for a meal for 5 without apps or dessert was $343. But it was DELICIOUS. I will absolutely stay here again."

"Great hotel near the train station. Had a really nice view from long balcony. The staff was great and gave me everything I asked for. Only complaint was they didn’t have any small towels for my face. But pretty minor. There is sister Fletcher hotel next door. Downtown is 5-10 min walk. City closed up early. Hotel bar indoors and outdoors nice. Typical European breakfast. Some minor changes daily. Some other nice hotels on same street facing canal. Would stay there again. Fletcher hotel is nice chain."
