"Melia Purosani Yogyakarta is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location, within walking distance of Malioboro Street. The lobby is elegant and makes a great first impression.
Our stay started with having to wait more than 40 minutes for our room despite arriving after the official check-in time. Once we got the room, we found it spacious and comfortable. However, some housekeeping details were overlooked, including missing hand towels and a bathroom that did not meet our expectations for a five-star hotel.
We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant. However, when we started ordering, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. The available dishes we ordered were very disappointing in terms of flavor, quality, and value for money. Considering the hotel's reputation, we expected a much better dining experience.
Breakfast was better, offering a good variety of local and international options, including an egg station and fresh fruit.
The staff were friendly, polite, and welcoming throughout our stay. Overall, Melia Purosani has a beautiful property, spacious rooms, and a prime location, but improvements in housekeeping and restaurant quality would better align it with five-star standards."
