"We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Our room was lovely, very well equipped, and had a beautiful view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Polurrian on the Lizard

"This is almost a review of two halves. Firstly, the staff and the food we had at the hotel were excellent. The views are fantastic and the ability to access Polurrian Beach & Cove makes the stay blissful even if you did not leave the surrounding area - Mullion the closest town is easily walkable. The hotel is being extended and renovated - which is very exciting and they have done an excellent job at keeping it out of eyeline and with limited noise impact. That being said there was no real information about it nor the impact on the facilities - the outdoor pool is closed. Whilst this would not have changed us going it should be more obviously communicated especially on the hotel website. There are a couple of points I want to call out: 1. I asked for our room to be cleaned in the morning and it wasn't done by the time we got back, too late to have it cleaned, in the evening 2. In parts the hotel still looks a bit tired and some maintenance is not proactively done 3. A bar that has to be told how to make a gin martini is not a good sign. It's a classic drink 4. Need of an alternative bar for when weddings are on. Banishing people from the only social space is not ideal. This may improve with the extension but not great especially in this weather I would go back, but for a 4* hotel there are some areas it needs to improve."

"We had a lovely spacious room with a comfortable bed, a bonus was the beautiful views of the river through the wide full height windows. Only downside was the lack of a cooked breakfast which is not available. There isn’t a table in the room so we had to sit on the single chair and blanket box to eat the cereals provided, not ideal when you want to fortify yourself for the SWCP walk. They also didn’t service the room which meant we had to wash the cereal bowls and cups in the bathroom sink and make our own beds!"

"Just returned from a 7 night stay at Savoy view apartment The accommodation was excellent, everything needed for the stay was provided and the rooms were tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We arrived early after a 6 hour drive and expected we’d have to wait around a few hours until check in but we were surprised to notice that the key had been made available a lot earlier which was lovely. The property is in an ideal location for exploring the beaches and coves on the Lizard peninsula. There are 2 lovely pubs in the village as well as a well stocked Spar shop next door and a Co op a short walk away. The staff were very helpful and very friendly. All in all we had a terrific week ( the weather played its part too 👌) Parking was manageable, only half an hour permitted on the road outside from 9am till 6 pm but the large car park was only a few minutes walk away and we did park outside the property overnight. We will definitely be returning to Savoy view in the near future. Thank you for an incredible holiday"

"All staff outstanding, very welcoming and went out of their way to assist if required. In my room, shower leaked from supply pipe (easy fix?) Loo seat 'Odd' shaped and wiggled!! (another easy fix) Steep steps up to the rear car park, not ideal for people with walking issues I wish they offered breakfast, although there is a shop about 20 yards away that does some excellent pastries. (Got to experience the sausage rolls!!!) Overall, yes I would go again."

"The property was quaint and quiet. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment and some nice cooking supplies. The welcome gifts were a nice surprise and delicious. The washing area in the shed was great, sadly the clothesline was broken but the dryer worked perfectly. The back garden was very private and pretty. One downside was the windows were quite dirty and full of spider webs. The location is good if you have a car as no busses come to the area and taxis get a bit expensive. On a plus note, the pub across the road has good food and drink and the small store is well stocked. Over all it's a nice place to stay."
