Very good hotel in Granada

It was in the center close to everything. In front of a Plaza with a lot of activity. The only thing missing is a frige.

Excellent Hotel! Location was ideal. Room and common areas were pristine. Bed was delightfully comfortable. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast buffet was tasty and plentiful. My only criticism is that the bathroom layout was clearly designed for small acrobatic monkeys and not full sized humans.

The hotel Maia and what we thought

Good, but there was no mini refrigerator, which would be very useful in the hot climate of summer here. And the bathtub could’ve had a rubber mat or additional railings to improve safety as it is very easy to slip in those kinds of deep bathtubs. Now, the staff were very nice and very helpful and informative about the area and places to go. The rooms are very close together and with thin walls, and the people next-door were quite noisy late at night. And the showerhead was not securely fastened and could not be angled appropriately. However, the hotel was overall good and very well situated with easy access to the Alhambra and downtown.

Incredible location, right on Plaza Nueva, in the middle of everything. Easy walk to everywhere. Alhambra visible from the front. Our room was in the back, fairly quiet (some noises came through thin walls, but neighbors weren't bad, and morning action was mostly breakfast noise coming from downstairs through the staircase, nothing horrendous). Small room, but comfortable. Window opening to nothing. Pleasant front desk people. Tons of restaurants, stores, bars, tapas close by. We would return because of the location, difficult to beat.

The concierge staff were wonderful. They helped us find our way through town and make choices from the many entertainment options. They immediately provided a good map. They inquired as to our experiences of events got which they provided direction.

Great location. The beds were a little hard for my taste. There was a refrigerator but it didn’t work. No safe in the room. Bathroom was lovely. Everything very clean.

Great area

Booked room with 2 double beds, but got a room with 1 double and 1 twin which made it very crowded. Couldn’t get the air conditioning to work until it suddenly kicked on at 11pm and blew directly onto the double bed. The location was very good with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel breakfast was good. No fridge in the room. Hotel info says it’s a 5 minute walk to Alhambra, but it’s 25-30 minutes and half of that is directly up hill. However, it seems like a good area to stay even if visiting the Alhambra.

Evrything was great with the Staff which was very helpfull and friendly. The hotel was clean and well maintained like new. The bad things were: We didn't like very much the room even though it was confortable and big enough, but it was an interior room with a small window to an interior small opening to a patio, which means that we didn't have any view and minimum natural light. The room was also very noisy and you could hear most noises from other floors and other rooms and corridors. There was also a strong smell of tobacco in the room as if previous guests smoked. We don't smoke and that smell bothered us.

Hotel was at ground zero - Next to city hall (Ayuntamiento). It was close to everything, restaurants, shops, taxis, Walking distance to Alambra. Lots of activity around and easy transportation. Being in the city center, hotel does not have car parking but they provide parking at their sister hotel Macia Hotel Condor located one mile away. Originally I saw it as a big issue but soon I understood. Macia Plaza is in the Old part of the city and there are just not parking around for anyone including Pope. Taxi is ready available between the two hotels and both taxi drivers and folks at Condor hotel were very friendly and helpful when parking car. Parking Garage is good and offers plenty of space. Macia personnel at Plaza and Condor are great. Ignacio (Nacho) the gentleman at the breakfast launch is a super nice guy. Highly effective person.

Was hard to park the car as we needed to do this about 15 min walk from the door, no real drop off area to park and used the cabbie line, got the look but they never asked me to move but it seams normal in Spain just to stop anywhere and do what you need as long as your quick. Hotel was in the center of everything we wanted to see. Book well in advance for the palace museum that we never got to see but the grounds outside were still fantastic.
