"The lodge was overall had a look of worn out buildings without too much renovations However the free breakfast and the buffet dinner was excellent and the location was very serene and peaceful"

"We arrived an hour early and were able to check in with adjoining rooms. Beautiful location on King River with lounge chairs to enjoy the views outside. Picnic area is where you can use a propane camp stove to cookout. (No charcoal) Snack bar serves starbucks coffee and there is a cute gift shop with lower prices than the park shops. We enjoyed our stay, 2 elders a young couple and you g adults. I would be worried of the river if you had young children. And a note that the room doors lock from the inside- old fashioned push button on the handle."

"Beware!! Potential scam!! This was such a nightmare after trying to make my daughter’s 13th bday really magical- we arrived to the cabin with confirmation of our dates. I hadn’t received the info to get into the cabin by the time I arrived so I called the management company they go through, evolve. The lady told me that my reservation was canceled! News to me as I had no notification of this, the money was taken out of my account and the confirmation showed on my app and email. It was the worst experience ever, I was alone with my kids and had to drive down the mountain in the dark searching for service and a hotel or any place to stay that would pick up the phone. We finally found a comfort inn 45 mins away. Over $200 worth of food melted and meat rotted. My daughter never got her birthday steak and was devastated after seeing the cabin and running around outside then forced to leave with absolutely no accommodation. I still have not been refunded my $500 and as a single mom that’s a hard hit especially in the middle of vacation and my daughters birthday. They told me I need to dispute it with my bank and gave absolutely no resolution or even help finding something else. I’m not sure if this place is a scam or just completely unorganized with their booking arrangements but DONT RISK IT! "

"Honestly- don’t go here. It could be such a beautiful place and maybe was at some point, but now it’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. The surrounding properties are beautiful and outside is peaceful. The cabin, itself, is infested by mice. From what I could tell, the mice own it now. It is by the grace of God that my 6 yr old and I ended up okay, after everything. This place is in the mountains. Secluded. No cell service. The key was not where it was supposed to be. There were NO instructions inside, including no information about the WiFi. Thankfully a previous guest had written the password down in the guest book. NO CENTRAL HEAT OR AIR. This was not explained in the listing. It was 40 degrees outside. We used the wood burning stove to keep warm. When we went outside to get more firewood, the door auto-locked behind us. We did not know it did that. Car keys inside the house and everything. Thankfully, with the help of someone else, I got ahold of the owner and she came and let us in. But then, the mice! Droppings everywhere. Heard them scurrying around the ceiling at night. Saw one run across the floor. Disgusting. We couldn’t sleep. I’m not trying to be rude. I’m all for roughing it, but everyone should fully understand what they’re getting into. It wasn’t safe with the lack of information and it was unsanitary with the mice. This listing should honestly be removed from hotels.com. Oh and there was a frog on the coffee pot. "
