"My room was upstairs but the stairs where on the opposite side of the building. So I had to take my luggage up these worn out, steep stairs, around the building to the other side of the building. While the room was clean it needs to be renovated. The towels were clean but they were thin and rough because they should have been replace years ago. I should have known to keep looking based on the cheap rate. How did this place get a 7.3 on the AARP/Expedia site? I later looked on Google and this place gets 3 something stars. Next time I’ll check google ratings and reviews before I book."

"I came to the area because we had a big hike planned early the next morning. I chose this hotel just for the breakfast and paid way more per night than other hotels in the area but it was supposed to have a big hearty breakfast so to me it was worth the extra money. When we got up to eat before we left, there was no hot breakfast aside from some gravy. It wasn't that I got there late and they ran out, they just didn't have any. I ate a packet of oatmeal and my daughter had cereal. When I talked to the front desk, they were not helpful and didn't offer anything to make up for it at all. Just shrugged and said he didn't know what happened. I'm not really one to write bad reviews but it wasn't a good experience at all."
"The motel is a very nice 1950 motel that is clean and well painted. The bathroom had newer floors, commode and small vanity. It also had a small refrigerator with freezer and microwave. The tv worked well and had a lot of stations. The bed was comfortable. The two cautions for a modern traveler is there is only one electrical plug in on each bedside lamp and none in the bathroom, and the room has limited space with no closet. Other rooms may have a closet. For a single lower maintenance person it is adequate. For a couple where one needs a makeup mirror, hair dryer, hair curler it will be more of a challenge. Overall good stay."
