"Our room itself was clean and comfortable, and so our overall stay was pleasant. But the facility itself is in huge disarray due to construction, which I understand has been ongoing since 2025 and not expected to be finished until late 2027. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. It was quite shocking because the entire first floor was completely dismantled, and massive scaffolding outside. And the breakfast offerings were sub-par, so we did not even try anything other than some juice and milk. I still have to say that the room was nice and fairly well up to date, so A+ for that."
"Overall, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the door lock stopped working, but that was just bad luck. They helped out by unlocking the door with the key whenever we needed in."
"Very quiet, clean and private. Pet-friendly area with short trails and a great disc-golf course across the street. Hiking, nice views - we love this area and enjoy staying there when attending music festivals & such in nearby Madison."
"Seems like this place was recently updated. Clean and comfortable. No elevator and the stairwell had a very strong chemical smell. Rather off putting. Overall good stay for the price though."
"Everything was very clean, beds are comfortable and very glad the pool was available to help entertain the kids. All staff we delt with were great .Great overall experience."
"The entire building needs renovation. Water leak marks in the room ceiling. Tub faucet with slow constant dripping.
Breakfast at 6a. 6:15-6-30 dining still close. No breakfast. Stayed 5 nights same everyday. Only donut served. McDonald is nxt door if you want good coffee in AM.
AC works ok. Bed is ok..Sheets and towels clean. But they don't straightened or make bed when cleaning. Just take garbage.
What you pay is what you get.

"My family and I visit within an hour of Owenton, KY every year, sometimes multiple times, and this staff was by far the friendliest we’ve encountered! Very helpful, super friendly, and we enjoyed the pool!"
