"Old hotel, corridors carpets had holes in patched up with tape. Leak in room 20 sink causing constant wet floor (clearly the room staff are not trained to look out for this…. Not their fault I’ll add….management!) Odd layout to walk upstairs and downstairs to get to your room. The hotel is propped up by the really friendly staff. Expensive for an old hotel. "

"Helpful and friendly staff, the room was clean and there were full instructions on operating the heating ( feel the cold!). The bed was very comfortable, but we both found the pillows rather firm and inflexible. Dinner was excellent, leaving us too full to sample breakfast. Plenty of parking as this is a wedding venue."

"This is our second visit to the hotel. We had a double room for three nights, that was showing slight signs of wear and tear. The room was very clear, although when I asked the lady who was cleaning our room for a toilet roll, she explained I would have to go to reception as she did have any. We also left towels in the bath to be replaced, they were folded up and put back on the side without being replaced. All the staff were very friendly, particularly the staff on reception. We ate breakfast at the golf course club house. It was very reasonably priced and delicious."

"The property is in need of a refurb as it is looking tired in places. Staff were helpful and polite. Outside seating was insuficient on this sunny weekend. Cooked breakfast was good but the continental (cheese & ham etc) was woefully poor. In the light of recent events the security was bad, entry to the rooms via lift and stairs was not controlled in any way so anyone could walk in off the street and have access. Location, location, location is the big plus for this hotel all in all a very enjoyable stay."

"Really nice place to stay great free breakfast with automatic pancake maker nice bar which is reasonably priced staff are very friendly and helpful great late check out at 1200 for free right next to the station only fault 1 of the 2 lifts is awaiting repair (part on order) Really good value 100 yards from the train station and bus station Hull has lots to offer will visit again.. I will visit again "
