Blue Haven Resort - All-Inclusive

"This is a very quiet and peaceful resort. Mostly for the adults where as the Alexandria is based more so for children. The nice thing is you can experience both hotels. The staff are pleasant and accommodating. Rooms were spotless. The food service does take awhile to be served and sometimes it's cold. Special shout out to Adrian for the fabulous drinks. at the Salt and Sea Restaurant The marina is lit up at night so it's absolutely beautiful and romantic. I'd give it a 5 if it wasn't for the hiccup on our last day. There some confusion on the reservation, but they accommodated us"

"The most beautiful beach I have EVER seen!! Get to where you can't touch bottom and your feet are clearly visible still! The sand is like flour - so soft! Royal West has a private area of the beach - chairs, loungers, umbrellas, and towels are free and do not require a hold the day before, like some places do. The grounds and pool areas are very very nice. I was a solo traveler so I did nothing but the beach, but I saw a lot of water activities. I kind of got an impression that not all of the island is safe. Having said that, I personally had no problems with anyone I encountered. The exception was the taxi from/to the airport. I did a shared ride and they charged me $40 when it should have been $20. Plan on having cash as taxi rides do not take credit. Also, bring plenty of loose cash if you are a tipper. Lots of people handling the stay. On the return flight, go up to the second floor. It says it's a "club" but anyone that has been on the island can use it. Much quieter and less hectic than the downstairs. That little tidbit came from a local."

"We stayed on the ground floor with direct beach access from the back. It was spacious for a young family of 5. The ocean view was amazing, it was a great view to wake up to and to watch the sunset. The facilities e.g. washer, dryer, kitchen, and toiletries were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"-Yoldine is fabulous! She corresponded with us prior to our arrival via email and was super helpful before and during our stay. -Housekeeping was excellent. -The beach and things like beach, chairs, towels, were always available and plentiful -Our condo was spectacular - great design layout and décor. -Can’t say enough good things about the screened in porch with the stunning view of the ocean. -Every detail at the Tuscany was on point from check-in all the way through to checkout and everything in between -The food at 19th Bar which is in the golf course across the street was excellent.-There’s a grocery store that is 1.2 miles away and takes about 25 minutes to walk there. You can take an E bike, but we weren’t comfortable with driving on the wrong side of the road or with an-ebike so we walked it and it was fine. (Americans, prepare yourselves for sticker shock at the grocery store. For example, a single serve Chobani yogurt was $4.35; a pack of bacon was $14-$18 (but eggs were cheap! $4 for a dozen). Neutral: (depending on personal preference, you may find these to be either good or bad): -no restaurant on site, but there is one literally a few feet away with access from both the beach and the resort and two more restaurants just beyond that one. Tip: Do not be fooled by the restaurant, Flamingo, when they say "smoothies"; what they serve are slushies. Big difference. There was hardly anyone ever at the pool so it felt like we had the resort all to ourselves. "
