"Room was nice and big bed was very loud and squeaky but a lovely 4 poster bed. Just could do with a bit of a touch up maybe a bit of a modern touch up. Breakfast was really disappointing and not worth it at all. Staff was amazing though ! Room was really hot and no fan to help ease in the heat"

"Genuinely an excellent set up and stay, we extended after a wedding and it was a beautiful start to a northern holiday. Top tip ask at reception for discounted tickets to Beamish open air museum!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpfull,the room was clean and the bed was very comfartable ,food was very good and generous portions also breakfast choice was very good as well ,all told I would reccomend the George and would stay that again in that vicinity"
