Great stay in Grindelwald

Excellent location close to the train station. Probably the best value hotel in Grindelwald with excellent service and a great breakfast. The rooms are a bit dated but clean. Would stay again!

Staff very friendly and close to train station is a plus only thing I would add is a small fridge and u be good I will stay here again if I make it back to Switzerland.

Amazing hotel

Excellent location in the centre of everything so it is easy to get around. Clean room with outstanding views - loved waking up every morning to the Eiger. Room was cleaned daily and breakfast was lovely. Book this place if staying in Grindelwald! The couple that own the hotel are lovely and we couldn’t have loved our stay any more!

We stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days. Breakfast is included and I must say that the croissants are the best!! The view is amazing. The people are very accomodating. The train station is just across the street and yet its not noisy at all. Ive had the best sleep ever. Id miss this place.

The staff was very friendly and kind. The mountain view is spectacular and there is a balcony on the upper floor rooms to soak it all in with and relax! It is also pretty much right next to the Grindelwald train station, making it easy to come and go.

Surprisingly it was unbelievable beautiful mountains view. Great central location and only 2-minute walk to Grindelwald Train Station.

Great hotel in Grindelwald! The owners (who run the hotel) made us feel at home. The hotel is convenient as it was near shops, restaurants, and across the train station. The view from our balcony was breathtaking!

The hotel is very well situated within steps of the train station. The breakfast is very complete and good. The hotel is very dated and so are the rooms . There is a wonderful view of the mountains . The location is great , but the hotel needs major updating .

Lots of pros (see below) but a few personal observations: Mattresses are very basic so remember this if you need a very hard or super soft one. Bath towels and bath mats were pretty old, thin and worn. Pillows were very thin and old and needed to be folded or rolled for comfort. Decor is very dated with dark carpeting and dark wood panelling. Pros: a minute walk to railway and shops and busses. Great views into mountains and valleys from back deck Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast with fresh fruits, boiled eggs, various rolls and fresh bread, hot coffee and a huge tea selection, yoghurts jams and jellies! Little bar for beer and wine Lots of tourist brochures. Ask for a big room if you have a lot of luggage. We had a single room with two single beds and I’m glad we had minimal luggage. It was pretty small. I did notice other rooms that were bigger.

The staff were very friendly and kind, the hotel was at the perfect location. Just a few meter from Grindelwald center and trains. Very happy about that. The breakfast was ok, very simple and pretty much just carbs, not much protein or fiber. The room was clean but very outdated, the floors were uneven and you can hear the people in the room next to yours. The floor carpet did not look nice though. The pillow and quilts were very uncomfortable. The room was very warm, but opening the window allowed lots of noice from the street. Overall okey, but the hotel could use a renovation and some updates.

Enjoyed the stay at Bel Air Eden. Excellent breakfast provided to start your day. Just behind the main railway station to all the attractions in Jungfrau. There is a coop grocery store 5 minutes away and bus stop is just a minute away. Nothing to complain, will definitely stay here again on my next trip back to Grindalwald. Try to book a room with view overlooking Eiger and rolling hills, breathtaking.

The rooms were small, bathroom was also small but manageable compared to the price that we paid. The breakfast was good. Best part is that the station and restaurants are just outside the hotel. Prime location. Friendly staff. The rooms could be made better, there were spider webs at some corner.

The owner was wonderful, kind, and very helpful with our stay. Our room was cleaned up every day and the hotel was conveniently located by the train station and walking distance to all restaurants and stores. Our room had a slight odor but the windows opened wide and you could not smell it like that. No refrigerator in the rooms which wasn’t our favorite but the hotel was definitely worth the price and had a beautiful balcony to enjoy the mountains from.

Hotel Bel-Air Eden was a fantastic choice for my stay in Grindelwald. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking mountain view from my room, creating a memorable experience. The staff (or possibly owners) were incredibly helpful, adding a personal touch to the service. The breakfast options were diverse and delicious, setting the right tone for each day. Its close proximity to Grindelwald train station made traveling hassle-free. The hotel's abundance of tourist information was a great help for planning excursions. Moreover, my room was always clean and well-kept. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Hotel Bel-Air Eden and highly recommend it for a memorable Swiss Alps experience.

I picked this property because it was a fair price and in a great location. My expectations were not high, but I was pleasantly impressed with how clean and well run this Hotel was. All of the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, breakfast was simple, but good - better than I'd get at higher star US Hotels. The location is a stone's throw from the train station with plenty of places to shop and eat all around. If you're looking for a luxury Hotel to spend the week in your room this is not your place, but why would you do that? In this area get out and enjoy everything, then come back and get a good nights sleep and repeat. I'll be back for sure.

Good Budget Hotel

The owner manager is a fine industrious busy guy who made sure everything is perfect. However, there is a part of the hotel which is off limits to guests, this is the common balcony with seating facing the Mt Eiger - this is the one you see in the ad of Hotels.com. I asked the manager, but he made excuses. I guess the real reason is they dont have extra help to clean the area, but then they use it as part of hotel ad campaign. I understand eco friendliness concern but then the towels are so thin already and beat up, there's not much soap provided either. I tried to ask but did not get any. Well I'm not a difficult person, I can ignore those since hotel rate is in the budget.
